Back from canon update & hiatus [video]

Geez, I've got such a headache. Anyone know how long it's been? Or where the hell the chibi brat in a straw hat is now?

[Smoker's outside of the pokecenter to get a smoke, and all his pokemon are practically clinging on him. It has been since about Christmas after all. Even his gyarados is practically on top of him, though he seems pretty nonplussed about it.]

What month is it anyway? Hey. Anyone who's returned home, what's the longest anyone's gone and come back?

Tsk... I need a drink

[It should also be noted he has sunglasses, a cool new scar over his eye, and his hair isn't spiky anymore! How sad. And <user name="justicereigns" is still my icon and comment account! Sorry for the delay, all.]

Nah 'at! Bah-rehs! [He points to the tree, then points to his mouth, then fans it dramatically. Come on Smokey, you can get this one!]

[Yup. This time he nails it.]

You're hot. Feverish, because you ate the berries. [Face palms.] What have you learned from this squirt?

[He fans his tongue again. Ow ow ow.] Brahng a lanch!

Chibi, if you're not sick you wouldn't be hot. And you'd be able to talk properly. If I bring a lunch are you going to throw it up?

[Trying his best to be excited but ah ah ahhh that hurt-- okay fanning mouth again.]

Nah ganna thaw ap! Brang wada wi'it?

[Exasperated sigh.]

Fine fine. Food and water. But if you get sick, I'm not carrying you.

[And he laughs. He won't get sick, he's sure of it!]

All right, I've got a bento. I'll be there in five minutes.

No more berries.

[And he laughs. You're funny, Smokey.]

I'm serious. [Drags a palm down his face as he's walking through the forest.]

[Thankfully, Luffy did listen! But he's kind of playing with the berries right now, which is better than eating them but not by much. He's making piles of them on the ground and trying to design patterns before Aipy eats them.]

[Scoops up both Luffy and Aipy and hands him the water bottle.]

You are more trouble than you're worth brat.

[But he's relieved Luffy isn't in worse shape. Also check out his new sunglasses, they're awesome]

[And Aipy steals the water bottle but can't open it, so while he gnaws on it, Luffy just touches his sticky hands up to Smoker's scar.]

COOOOOOOL!

[Grins... and takes the water bottle back to open it and hand it to Luffy.]

You think so, huh?

[He nods. Meanwhile Aipy tries to jack his sunglasses. Stop taking away his playthings! And finally Luffy gets the water open... and chugs it empty in a good two seconds.]

You have a scar like me now!

No way. My scar is much cooler. It's bigger.

[Tilts Aipy's hat in Aipy's face and rummages into his backpack to give him the pokegear... :| Totally safe.]

It's cool! Gonna tell me how you got it? Huh huh?

[And he bounces around in Smoker's arms, while Aipy goes almost straight for all the buttons on the gear. Smoker's a pro at dealing with crazy bratlings.]

[Gets out the bento for Luffy.]

Fighting a dragon. [MAKING THAT UP. Because it was from something way more badass than a fucking dragon. But Luffy is like 8, so he doesn't get the weird details about pirates being evil since he'd ignore it anyway.]

A DRAGON?!

[Temporarily distracted from food, TELL THE STORY SMOKEY.]

[Grins.]

He threatened to burn my ship. And I told him "Oh hell no, my men are here." Of course they're kind of dumb so they were already setting fires... which is what attracted the dragon in the first place, but it's still the principle of the thing.

He didn't listen though so I punched him in the face.

[Sure.... why not.]

So then he tried to eat me and nearly took off half my head. It's very hard to fight dragons with a jitte. Their scales are really resistant, but I have seastone so I beat him up and kept a tooth for good luck.

WHOOOOAAAA!!

[In so much awe right now he actually forgot the food for a whole ten seconds.]

So seastone works against dragons too? Did you bring the tooth with you? DO YOU HAVE IT WITH YOU?!

[And in his moment of flailing, he notices the bento and leans over to smell it.] Mmmmm!

Seastone is the hardest thing in the world, even more than diamonds. It has more uses than just weakening devil fruit users.

But I don't have the tooth, it's as big as you are, so I wouldn't be carrying it around anyway. [Hands him the bento.] Try not to get this all over me.

Whooooaaaaa! [Too cool, Smokey!] I wanna see a dragon that big one day! I'm gonna go meet this dragon and I'm gonna take one of its teeth too.

[And time to prove why Luffy should never eat in public. Food vs mouth challenge... GO!]

I bet you will kiddo. Just don't get burned.

[Damn. And he can't even build a menu-fort as a shield this time.]
