For those that knew her, the Demon Woman of Ohara, better known as Nico Robin the pirate, has gone home. Her pokemon can go to whoever wants them I guess. [See also.]

She was very fond of morbid things, archaeology and history, and books. So I thought it'd be a fitting tribute to share ghost stories. Especially given this place and this time of year. So anyone got any good ones?

Kyakyakya, aren't there lots of different kinds? It's just like ghost stories, some places have their own witch story! Maria thinks those are the best!

Kihihihi! It's the story about Beatrice. But it's not just a story. She really exists.

[He just spent several months with a woman who named her sentret "Terror Watcher." He's got this. Or so he thinks.]

Oh? And what did Beatrice the witch do?

Beatrice is a great witch, she can do anything..!

Anything? All right, so what did, or does she choose to do with that?

Uu-, she's done a lot of things.. [ apparently she seems to have fallen out of the more creepy mood for now, looking more normally happy. ] She's brought Maria and Maria's entire family to the Golden Land!

Golden Land? What's that?

The Golden Land is a world where everyone can be happy, uu-..! It's a place where all wishes come true thanks to Beatrice's magic!

[Wow. That just screams "suspicious."]

Uh-huh... really... I guess she's a good witch then?

[ Yeah, what really happened is that Beatrice sort of killed everyone so they could go there.. ]

Of course she is! Beato is Maria's friend, and Maria wouldn't be friends with bad witches!

[Yeaaaah. He sort of got this idea that it was basically "heaven."]

That's reassuring, I guess. Wait, so what's the story here?

Uu-.. Maria guesses the story is Beatrice's legend? Not everyone knows Beato the way Maria does, so they just know her as a legendary witch who opens windows after the servants close them in the mansion on Rokkenjima, or sometimes they see a single golden butterfly vanishing in the air..!

Sounds pretty mysterious, huh. So how'd you become her friend?

It's since Maria's a witch too!

[ saying it like it's a normal thing, just all happy, yup. ]

Oh. All right. Are you friends with any other witches too?

[uuing]

Beato's teacher is sort of Maria's friend too.. and Ange was Maria's witch apprentice, but then she became a real witch too, uu-..! .. Oh, Battler here said he was a witch too, so Maria guesses she has a lot of witch friends!

I see. So... a bunch.

But they're not all as powerful as Beatrice?

Of course not! Uu-, Beato is the Endless Witch, that means she's stronger than any of them.

Are the others only temporary witches?

No, it's more like.. they're witches that rule over other things. Beato rules over the Endless, so she can break and repair things as many times as she wants. There's also witches who control miracles or certainty.. uu-, even witches who can create something out of nothing. Maria's the last kind of witch!

A whole lot, uu-! Maria doesn't think there's a count for it.
